Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Lina Paek is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist. She was inspired to pursue a career in healthcare by her grandmother who was a pharmacist in South Korea. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame and double majored in Music (Piano Performance) and Science Pre-Professional
Studies. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University. Her research on early childhood caries won her the Birnberg Research Award in Public Health and Divisional Excellence in Epidemiology and Statistics. Dr. Lina completed her Pediatric Dentistry residency at New York University and Bellevue Hospital in New York. She participated in international outreach trips, including Nicaragua and Cambodia.
Dr. Lina is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Board Member of the Berkeley Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She is on staff at the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and has access and privileges to perform hospital dentistry.
Dr. Lina met her Bay Area native husband in dental school and they now live in Berkeley. They have a daughter, a papillon and an adopted cat. She and her husband are enjoying all the new discoveries that come with parenthood. She loves listening to music, taking her daughter to Tilden Park and packing her lunch for preschool.

Dr. Rebecca Hsieh is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist. After finishing high school in Taiwan, she moved to the US to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in Neuroscience and her Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology at Columbia University. She obtained her Doctor
of Dental Surgery degree from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and graduated with the Francis A Sooy Award and the Elizabeth Fuhriman Gardner Award for scholastic achievement. While at dental school, she discovered her love to work with children during dental mission trips and ASDA community outreach events, prompting her to pursue Pediatric Dentistry residency at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC.
Dr. Rebecca is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Board Member of the Alameda County Dental Society. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Rebecca enjoys teaching as a part-time Assistant Professor at the University of Pacific and UCSF, and she maintains hospital privileges at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.
In her spare time, Dr. Rebecca enjoys training her AKC-certified Mini-Goldendoodle Churro new tricks and volunteering in the local communities through the Canine Comfort program. She and her husband enjoy exploring local farmer’s markets, playing golf, and embracing the joys of new parenthood.
